Interlude – When You Can’t Hold On, Just Hold On

Just a quick note to say I’m still here. I really want to try sleep soon as I was up till all hours last night and I feel a bit sick with tired anxiety now.

Today was a good day.

I didn’t get anything major done but I kept a clean(ish), tidy(ish),cosy home; baked (one batch of buns devoured by four leggeds); bought groceries (thanks to a kind and unexpected donation from John Knox); worked on training AnnaPuppy’s irrepressible indoor pooping (Jesus, there’s nothing I don’t know about that dog’s bowel movements); had a visit from the community mental health nurse who praised my homemaking efforts (must have been the lingering scent of vanilla essence in puppy wee); got some forms to fill out (no I haven’t filled them out – but I HAVE them ready to fill out); cooked a dinner; read my book and didn’t freak out/reach for a sharp object/have a panic sweat. I also had a visit from a friend which was not at all taxing.

All round a good day.

I’m not going to beat myself up for the stuff I didn’t do because I’ve made it through to try again tomorrow.

As an aside, I’m not convinced about Mark Rylance as Tom Cromwell. Although he looks about as greyly bleugh as me in that photo.

I always found this song uplifting. ElsaDaughter used to think he was singing “I’ve got soda, but no soda bread”.

Goodnight 💋
